What does Roemer 8 38 39

The new life in the spirit

81 So now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2 For the law of the Spirit, which gives life in Christ Jesus, has set you free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what was impossible for the law, because it was weakened by the flesh, that God did: He sent his Son in the form of the sinful flesh and because of sin, and condemned sin in the flesh,

4 so that the righteousness which the law requires may be fulfilled in us, which we now do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5 For those who are carnal are carnal; but those who are spiritual are spiritually minded.

6 For to be fleshly is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 For being carnal is enmity against God, because the flesh does not submit to the law of God; because it cannot do it either.

8 But those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you. But whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ is not his.

10 But if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11 But if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his spirit that dwells in you.

12 So then, brothers and sisters, we owe it not to the flesh to live according to the flesh.

13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you kill the deeds of the body, you will live.

14 Because those whom the Spirit of God drives are God's children.

15 For you did not receive a spirit of bondage to fear again; but you have received a spirit of childhood through which we cry: Abba, dear father!

16 The Spirit Himself testifies to our spirits that we are children of God.

17 But if we are children, we are also heirs, namely heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, since we suffer with him so that we may be raised to glory with him.

Hope for creation

18 For I am convinced that this time of suffering does not weigh against the glory that is to be revealed in us.

19 For the anxious waiting of the creature waits for the children of God to be revealed.

20 Creation is subject to impermanence - without its will, but through him who has subjected it - but to hope;

21 then Creation too will be set free from the bondage of impermanence to the glorious freedom of the children of God.

22 For we know that up to this moment all creation is groaning and in labor.

The certainty of salvation

23 Not only they, but also ourselves, who have the Spirit as a firstfruits gift, groan in ourselves and long for sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

24 For we are saved in hope. But the hope that is seen is not hope; because how can you hope for what you see?

25 But when we hope for what we do not see, we wait patiently for it.

26 In the same way, the Spirit also remedies our weakness. Because we do not know what to pray, as it should be, but the Spirit itself steps in for us with unspeakable sighs.

27 But he who searches the hearts, knows what the mind of the spirit is directed; for he stands up for the saints as God wills.

28 But we know that all things are for the best of those who love God, those who are called according to his counsels.

29 For those whom he chose, he also predestined that they should be like the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

30 But those whom he predestined, they also called; but those whom he called he also justified; but whom he has justified, he has also glorified.

31 What do we want to say about this now? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32 Who did not spare his own son either, but gave him up for all of us - how should he not give us everything with him?

33 Who Wants to Accuse God's Chosen? God is here who righteously.

34 Who wants to condemn Christ Jesus is here, who died, and even more, who was also raised, who is at the right hand of God and who intervenes for us.

35 Who will part us from the love of Christ? Tribulation or fear or persecution or hunger or nakedness or danger or sword?

36 As it is written (Psalm 44:23): “For your sake we will be killed all day long; we are respected like sheep for slaughter. "

37 But in all of this we overcome far through the one who loved us.

38 Because I am certain that neither death nor life, neither angels nor powers nor powers, neither present nor future,

39 neither high nor low nor any other creature can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
