Questions and answers about appointments for the corona vaccination

General questions and answers about the corona vaccination

Appointments can be arranged via the free number 0800 116 117 01. Please note that this number is currently very busy and there are waiting times. As an alternative, you can also use 116 117 as a telephone number. Alternatively, appointments can be arranged online via termin.corona-imichtung.nrw.

It may happen that we are temporarily unable to show any free dates as available for individual vaccination centers. In accordance with the contingents of safely available vaccines for first and second vaccinations that the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has secured for us, vaccination appointments are made available throughout the day. New appointments are constantly being set in the system.

Since May 6, 21, appointments can be postponed in exceptional cases and in the event of particular urgency - please call 0800 116 117 01 for this.

Important: Only the second date can be postponed and for technical reasons it can only be postponed.

If you cannot get an earlier replacement appointment at 0800 116 117 01 because all available appointments have already been assigned in the corresponding period, please contact your vaccination center with the vaccination certificate for the first appointment. You can obtain the relevant contact details from your municipality or your district:

In this case, no distinction is made between those with statutory health insurance and those with private insurance.

Callers from abroad can make an appointment for a vaccination by calling the following number: +49 203 7140 90 90.
However, you must be insured with a German health insurance company.
Booking via the online portal is not possible, as appointments for the relevant vaccination centers are assigned here based on the postcode.

You will receive your vaccination documents in the mail. As a rule, these five working days arrive at your home after you have made an appointment by telephone.

If your documents have not arrived before your appointment after making an appointment by telephone, please have your appointment confirmed again via the hotline on 0800 116 117 01 or 116 117. If your appointment has been confirmed there and thus booked correctly, you can come to the appointment at the vaccination center with your identity card. If the appointment cannot be confirmed on the hotline, arrange a new one immediately by talking to the hotline.

In order to speed up the process on site, we ask you, if possible, to print out the three documents declaration of consent, anamnesis sheet and information sheet twice and bring them with you. One version is for your records and one for staying at the vaccination center.

You can find the documents on the following website. For information: The anamnesis sheet is included in the consent sheet.

If this is not possible for you, you can only come to the vaccination center with your identity card. The documents are then printed out on site.

In order to speed up the vaccination process on site, we ask you, if possible, to print out the documents for relatives or acquaintances. If you are unable to print out the documents, you can bring the appointment confirmation with you on a smartphone, tablet or other electronic medium.

The doctor's signature field in the vaccination documents is intended for the signature of the vaccinating doctor in the vaccination center, not for general practitioners or specialists treating the person to be vaccinated.

There are two vaccination appointment agencies in North Rhine-Westphalia. One for North Rhine (administrative districts Düsseldorf and Cologne) and one for Westphalia-Lippe (administrative districts Arnsberg, Detmold and Münster). Allocation to the responsible exchange is automatically based on the entered postcode, regardless of whether you have registered with KV Nordrhein or KV Westfalen-Lippe. You can check here whether the postcode of your place of residence belongs to North Rhine or Westphalia:

If you cannot keep the second appointment for medical reasons, please report to your vaccination center with the confirmation of the first appointment. You will get an alternative appointment there.

How the vaccine is distributed and which groups of people are prioritized is decided by the state in coordination with the municipality.

For this purpose, your doctor can issue you with a certificate confirming that you have a disease named in the vaccination ordinance. The certificate serves as proof that people belong to group 2 or 3 to be vaccinated and must only be presented at the vaccination appointment.

Here you will find an overview of the prioritization of vaccination against the coronavirus and an overview that shows which priority group you belong to.

The invitation process is already carried out by the municipalities. You can find more information about the municipalities here. Alternatively, ask your family doctor about a vaccination option.

Here, too, an individual medical certificate from the attending physician is a prerequisite for eligibility for vaccination. An application can then be submitted to the responsible municipality. Further details are to be clarified with them.

You can find more information about the municipalities here.

No, please do not send us these certificates.
