Blackpink's new music video brings together as many runway looks as any other fashion week

Music videos have always been a stage for impressive fashion productions, but some artists take fashion loves to a new level. One of them is the K-pop band Blackpink, which is currently one of the most successful music acts in the world. Not only did the four members recently collaborated with Lady Gaga on her album "Chromatica", they also released her highly anticipated music video for "How You Like That".

The visual masterpiece for the first song of their next studio album, which is due to be released in September, became the most successful video premiere in YouTube history with 16 million views within a few minutes and is not only popular with music fans, but also with fashion fans real highlight.

Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé (which has just been announced as the global brand face of Saint Laurent) not only delivered the hit of the summer with "How You Like That", but also an overview of the current summer collections. Watch Blackpink's music video here:

With countless outfit changes, the video resembles a fashion show and gives every member of the group the opportunity to shine: Jisoo shines in a crimson lace look from Alexander McQueen's Resort Collection 2020 including headdress; while Jennie adds a cool touch to an actually simple dress with puff sleeves by Chanel. Rosé dares a look by Marine Serre and Celine muse Lisa first appears in a look by Hedi Slimane before switching to a frilled robe by Off-White.

The video comes at a time when - after the corona-related cancellation of many fashion shows - our appetite for spectacular fashion productions is greater than ever before. Lookbooks and product images certainly serve their purpose, but seeing great clothes move to a rousing soundtrack is like nothing. Great clothes, great performance and the greatest band in the world - How You Like That? Very much!
