You can learn how to develop apps for Apple platforms for free and without registration. All you need is an Apple ID to access Xcode, software downloads, documentation, sample code, forums, the Feedback Assistant, and test your apps on devices. If you don't already have an Apple ID, you can create one now. If you want to sell apps, become a member of the Apple Developer Program.

Information about the Apple Developer Program

To develop apps for sale through the App Store, Apple Business Manager, or Apple School Manager, register for the Apple Developer Program. * Membership in this program gives you access to OS beta versions, advanced app features and tools for developing, testing and distributing apps and Safari extensions. Participation is open to people aged 18 and over.

Individuals or sole proprietorships: Apps are listed under the names of their developers.

Organizations: Apps are listed under the legal entity name. When registering, companies and educational institutions must provide the D-U-N-S number (available free of charge), which is registered for their legal entity.


Membership costs $ 99 per year. Non-profit organizations, educational institutions and government agencies may be able to waive the fee.
