In physics lessons, the students therefore acquire fundamental knowledge of the laws of nature and technical applications on the one hand, and an understanding of the characteristic ways of thinking and working in the natural sciences of physics on the other. In dealing with specialist content, the young people develop competencies, for example gaining knowledge with the help of scientific methods, using theoretical models and reflecting critically, researching, processing and presenting technical information, and assessing the opportunities and risks of modern technologies.

Independent action in the field of natural sciences promotes the structured planning and implementation of projects, creativity, perseverance as well as the ability to abstract and criticize. Experimenting in groups and carrying out teaching projects train teamwork and communication skills, positive social behavior and the willingness to take on responsibility. The subject of physics thus not only makes a significant contribution to general education, but also to preparation for the professional world and personal development.
