The story: The Czech, blind immigrant Selma (Björk) works day and night, to give her son an operation. In doing so, she dreams of her own Musical world.

The Ugly Cry Moment: Selma is charged with murder, but refuses to spend the money saved on a lawyer and insists on having eye surgery for her son. Hysterical and shortly before her death, she finally learns that the operation was a success.

Also: Director Lars from Trier Björk had to persuade singer Björk for the role of Selma for a long time - the singer then won the for her performance in Cannes Award "best actress"

4. The Green Mile (1999)

The story:John Coffey is sentenced to death on charges of murdering two girls. The jailer Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) finds out that John is not only innocent, but also has supernatural healing powers.

The Ugly Cry Moment: The girl in the red coat. The evacuation of the ghetto. When Schindler collapses, when he thinks about how many more people he could have saved. The whole movie..!

8. The pursuit of happiness (2006)

The story: Will Smith plays that single father Chris Gardnerwho wants to offer his son a better life, works two jobs and is on the verge of financial failure. The situation eventually forces father and son to take to the streets, but Chris doesn't want to give up.

The Ugly Cry Moment: The predicament gets worse and worse - you cry bitter tears with Will’s character, but also tears of happiness in the end.

The story: Holly (Hilary Swank) gets after that Death of her husband Gerry (Gerard Butler) sent letters to make his death easier for her.

The Ugly Cry Moment: When the first letter reached Holly. Or when it turns out that it was Holly's mother who sent her the letters at Gerry's request.

10. Kung Fu Panda (2008)

The Ugly Cry Moment: William accepts his father's wish and tells him a fable story of how his father turns into a large catfish in the lake.

Also: All of the characters in the stories finally come to the funeral of the father, who did not invent the encounters freely, but only embellished them.

13.Hachiko: A Wonderful Friendship (2009)

The story: The loyal Japanese Akita dog Hachikō waiting daily to be Master, University Professor Parker Wilson (Richard Gere) at the train station.

The Ugly Cry Moment: The film shows an imaginary scene of the reunion between Hachikō and Parker. Then the camera pans and shows the dead body of the faithful dog in the snow.

Howling factor: 12/10 (here, after all, a dog suffers)

Also: The real Hachikō has for almost ten years waited in vain for his master. His statue is in his honor at Shibuya Station, Tokyo.

14th Million Dollar Baby (2004)
