RATHI N-Flex The N-Flex couplings are among the most frequently used couplings worldwide. Claws grip into pockets buffered with elastic elements and transmit the torque in a puncture-proof manner. Even if the elastomer failed, the metal parts would still transmit the force. N-Flex couplings are available in 3 basic designs and 11 different sizes. The RN B version consists of part 1 with the elastic elements and part 4. Parts 1 and 4 are available with pre-drilled or pre-drilled holes. The RN A version consists of part 1 with the elastic elements, part 3 as a separately screwable claw part and the part as a hub part. By loosening part 3 from part, the hubs can stay on the shafts if the elements need to be replaced. The RN S (H) coupling has been developed with variable spacers for use on pumps. This version is available in 10 sizes. The parts used are available individually. Part 6 = spacer is available in different lengths. The N-Flex couplings dampen shocks, compensate for axial misalignments and only minimally load the connected drive elements. Due to the modular principle, assembling the suitable coupling from components is uncomplicated. The replacement of the wearing elements is possible without great effort. In particular, version A with the screwable claw part makes it easy for the operator to replace the elements without moving the hubs. The couplings are suitable for ATEX conditions. Ideal use is on pumps, fans, crane drives, conveyor systems. The couplings are often used in combination with fluid couplings. Before using it on diesel engines, please contact RATHI.

RATHI N-Flex permissible axial misalignment Fig. 4 Fig. 5 Fig. 6 The original setup of the coupling should not reach the permissible misalignment. Alignment as precise as possible increases the service life of the coupling and reduces the load on the connected drive elements from restoring forces. The axial offset S is specified as a gap in the technical data.

RATHI B-Flex, pin coupling The RATHI pin couplings of the RB series are available in 7 different sizes. The spherically shaped elastic elements absorb shock loads and compensate for axial misalignments. The spherical shape allows larger values for the axial offset than with straight elements. The pin couplings are ideally suited for rough use in industry, mining, power generation and many other applications. The hubs are made of cast iron, optionally made of steel. Inexpensive and robust couplings that are often used on pumps, fans, conveyor systems, in cement production and many other applications. The advantages of the coupling over other solutions: - easy to assemble - very robust - easy replacement of elastic elements - no lubrication necessary - easy check for wear - the convex shape results in a parabolic spring characteristic, which is ideal for the damping properties. - Load holding, and therefore also suitable for safety-critical applications. - Alternating loads possible - by using the optional hub material steel or nodular cast iron, it can also be used at low temperatures. - By using optional PU or Hytrel buffers, the temperature range from - 50 to C is possible. (The lower temperatures require steel or a comparable hub material, as cast iron becomes too brittle for this area.) - The couplings are approved for use in the ATEX area - horizontal and vertical installation positions are possible. - Versions with a brake drum, brake disc, built-in overload clutch or similar are optionally available.

RATHI pin coupling RC Conical elements The RC has been developed for more demanding tasks. The tight tolerances in production, the high-quality material of the bolts and elastic elements allow higher torques per size and a long service life. The conical buffers are staggered as packages. They have a linear damping characteristic. Simple assembly, very low maintenance, as only wear has to be checked, dismantling of the buffers without removing the coupling, high-quality cast hubs and durable nitrile rubber elements make this coupling a very interesting solution for demanding tasks in conveyor technology, on cranes, in power plants , in mining, on extruders, and much more. The couplings can be supplied with spacers, brake disks or drums, in combination with other flexible couplings and torque limiters. The couplings are intended for a temperature range from -30 to + 70 C. Optionally, the elastomers made of PU or Hytrel are available for higher loads and temperatures from -50 to plus 100 degrees C. The couplings in the RCT version are provided with bores for taper lock bushes, this simplifies storage if different bores are required for the same size .

RATHI Hyflex highly flexible couplings, including SAE flange version RATHI Hyflex couplings are designed for use on machines that have to meet high demands on elasticity and damping. The clutches are often operated together with diesel engines. Rathi supplies appropriate adapters for mounting on SAE flanges. Special properties: High damping values Flange or hub design possible Compact dimensions Good start-stop properties Suitable for reversing operation By selecting the suitable elastomer material, the coupling can be adapted to the application. Different degrees of hardness, temperature resistance and chemical resistance are available for the coupling. Elements under load
RATHI Hyflex Design For the design, the data of the drive machine and the output are important information that is required to determine the service factor for determining the torque. The nominal torque of the motor results in the nominal torque. The formula for this is: Mn = 9550 x P (motor in kw) / speed at the coupling (rpm) This value is multiplied by the servide factors SF 1 and SF. SF 1 = Service factor of the prime mover SF = Service factor of the application Service factor SF 1: Drive Diesel engine 1 cylinder: 3.5 Diesel engine cylinder 3.0 Diesel engine 3 cylinder, 5 Diesel engine 4 cylinder, 0 Diesel engine 5 cylinder 1 , 8 diesel engine 6 cylinders 1.7 more than 6 cylinders 1.5 gas or petrol engine 1.5 electric motor 1.0 service factor SF: output / application centrifugal fan: 1.5 blade / blade fan, 0 axial screw compressor 1.5 centrifugal compressor 1.5 compressor in reverse op. 3.0 rotary compressor, 0 conveyor belt, screw conveyor 1.5 bucket conveyor, 0 centrifugal pump 1.5 tooth pump, 0 pump in reversing operation 3.0 marine, main drive, 0 cement mill, The value for the required nominal torque of the coupling results from: Mn x SF 1 x SF Select the next larger coupling from the table. 19 RATHI Tyreflex tire couplings Tire couplings consist of two flange hubs, between which an elastic rubber tire creates the connection. Tire couplings are highly flexible couplings with excellent damping properties. The RATHI Tyreflex couplings are supplied in 15 different sizes. The torque range extends from 4 Nm to Nm. The standard tire material is natural rubber. FRAS is available as an option. FRAS (Fire Resistance and Anti Static). The technical values in the catalog refer to the standard material. Temperature range: -30 degrees C to + 70 degrees C. FRAS: -30 degrees C to degrees C. The tires are clamped in the flanges. The sizes T 4 to T 6 clamp from the inside. TO 7 to TO 5 from the outside. The hub bores are designed in design B with cylindrical through bores in tolerance H7 with keyway according to DIN 6885 in tolerance JS9. The type F and H flanges are designed for taperbush mounting. In the TS version, shaft distances can be bridged. A flange is replaced by a spacer with an attached rigid hub. The clutches transmit the torque without backlash. Maintenance is not necessary. Only wear and tear has to be checked. The flexible elements made of FRAS are electrically conductive so that no static charge can build up. RATHI Tyreflex couplings have a high capacity to compensate for axial misalignments. Both in the axial and radial directions as well as for angular misalignment. The parallel offset can be up to 6 mm and the axial offset up to 8 mm. (The information for the individual sizes is listed in the following tables) The excellent damping properties largely prevent damage from vibrations. The tires can be exchanged easily without dismantling the hubs. The RATHI tire couplings are inexpensive, durable and have very good axle offset compensation values. This makes them a good choice for many applications.
